• "Beth Sutherland was Events Manager of the Something Old, Something New Open Day to celebrate the re-opening of Balsall Heath Library following a 6 months closure for a refurbishment. When Beth approached the library we were part way through the renovation process with work incomplete and an unfurnished Children’s area. Despite being on a tight timescale Beth proceeded with the project and managed to plan and deliver an Open Event enjoyed by everyone who attended. Beth communicated effectively, was friendly and listened to the library staff. Any suggestions to tweak her initial plan were implemented and she liaised with the library, local schools and local organisations successfully. She also managed to pull the team together ensuring fellow students had assigned tasks and deadlines. She produced the publicity for the event and took charge on the day - assigning roles and supervising volunteers. She guaranteed a range of activities were available for local families to enjoy throughout the day and always with a smile! Beth was efficient and enthusiastic.
